Join us as we launch the Center for Women’s Health Engineering on Thursday, September 22 at 4:00 p.m.
Michael House, MD, Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tufts University School of Medicine and a specialist in maternal-fetal medicine at Tufts Medical Center, will present “The Cervix as a Biomechanical Structure.” Dr. House has a unique background, as a practicing obstetrician with a bachelor’s degree in physics. He has performed interdisciplinary research with mechanical and materials engineer throughout his career, focusing on the cervix and its role in preterm birth. Dr. House is also president of a medical device start-up company. This presentation will thus appeal widely, including to clinicians, physical scientists, and engineers, plus those interested in entrepreneurship and FemTech.
